AS-RT is designed to simplify the work and communication of the government acquisition team in preparing their acquisition strategy and plans, and the contracts needed to support them. AS-RT provides the “who makes what” information for commonly purchased military clothing and individual equipment that the United States government buys.

AS-RT information includes the item, item descriptions, National Stock Numbers, unit of issue, sizes, estimated cost, the Prime Contractor, Manufacturer, percentage on the Federal Procurement List and Points of Contact to get more detailed information such as availability, delivery schedule etc.
